Audacious Joy
Inspiring Pittsburgh audiences through Shakespeare productions, new adaptations, and educational programs for over a decade

2025 Summer Season
The Comedy of Errors
Steel City Shakespeare Center invites you to their lively production of William Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors at Ross Township’s Bruno Sammartino Park and West View's Barry G. Schell "Bronx" Field. This beloved Shakespearean comedy is a tale of mistaken identities and chaotic misunderstandings. It follows the story of two sets of identical twins who were separated at birth and unexpectedly reunite in the same town years later. As the twins' paths cross in a series of comedic mishaps, confusion reigns supreme, leading to a flurry of slapstick humor and witty exchanges. Pack a blanket or chair and gather your loved ones for an unforgettable summer outdoor Shakespeare event full of laughter and audacious joy.
This production is directed by Bob Colbert and features SCSC veteran Alexandra Hellinger with newcomers Allie Burns, Catherine Hiyashi, and Jillian Thomas. It also features SCSC Youth Academy members Clara Lord and Mina Aksak and production design by SCSC Managing Director Hannah Ruth Moss.
